Final wrap-up

There was no blog post yesterday since we were in transit, and we are now back in the US as of 7 o'clock this morning. We had an uneventful Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to JFK, and we are now on a charter bus headed back to Pennsylvania.

On our final day in Kenya, we made a stop on our way back to Nairobi and the airport and our flight home. We visited the Loving Hands Safe house in Gilgil, where we have visited numerous times in the past. This is run by Jane Diko, who is the nearest equivalent to Mother Teresa that you will find. She runs this safe house for aids orphans, cast-offs, and HIV-positive youth, assuring that they get a safe place to live, proper medical care, clean accommodations, get educated, and are well fed. We make it a habit on our last day in Kenya to take her bulk food stuffs to keep the orphanage running. We typically provide enough rice and flour and beans and those type of staples to supply the orphanage for a month. She is literally a saint here on earth and provides services to a population who would not get it in any other way. It is always a blessing to take the team there to see her and the fine orphanage that she runs.

This will be my last post, since we are now back in the US. It's now time to start planning our trip for next year, which should be departing on July 13, 2026. If you have enjoyed these posts and are challenged by them and feel the Lord calling you to join a future team, we would love to have you. If so, please let me know of your interest, and I will keep you on the distribution list and send you information about what is involved in joining the team. Thanks for following
